The light cruiser, the “Maxim Gorky”, built according to a modified design of the interwar “Kirov” class cruisers, differs from its ancestor with a number of significant improvements, including reinforced armor and improved anti-aircraft capabilities.
"Maxim Gorky" took an active part in WWII as part of the Soviet Baltic Fleet. The ship repelled enemy raids on the besieged city of Leningrad, supported the offensive at the Mannerheim Line, and was seriously damaged several times. In 1944, the ship received the title of "Red Banner" for courage and honor. In our game, "Maxim Gorky" will be a real gift for commanders in the War Thunder fleet and one of the best ships in the USSR Navy line.
